Join us to explore some of the key challenges faced by bereaved students and how we can provide appropriate support.

Speaker

Anna May is Founder of The Student Grief Network and Executive Head of Kaplan International Grief Programmes. After starting this work as a bereaved student herself, she now has over six years experience improving bereavement support across Higher Education, specialising in training, consultancy, workshops and events. She works directly with students as well as with staff and universities.

More widely, she is interested in how we can gently explore the challenges of being human and build a more creative and compassionate culture around health and wellbeing.

About the Lunch and Learn session

The session will be facilitated by Anna May, Founder of The Student Grief Network, who experienced grief as a student herself and now works to soften the impact of loss in universities across the UK. She’ll be talking about her lived experience as well as key learning from her work and practical suggestions for offering support. There will be space to reflect, contribute to discussion and ask questions, though we recognise this can be a difficult subject so there is never any pressure to share.
